Privacy policyHow we look after your information

What we collect when you request a quote, why we collect it, who sees it and what you can do about it. Last updated 27 October 2026.

Who we are

FSB Welding & Fabrication Pty Ltd (ABN 12 659 045 897) is a steel fabrication and welding contractor based at 64 Burnside Rd, Ormeau, Queensland. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean FSB Welding & Fabrication.

What we collect

When you send the quote form on this website, we collect:

  • your name and company
  • your email address and phone number
  • the project type, location and dates you give us
  • the project details you write
  • any drawings or other files you attach

Please keep the form to the project: there is no need to include anything sensitive. If you call us, we also have your phone number and whatever you tell us about the work.

Our website may also collect technical information, such as the pages you visit, your device and browser type and your approximate location. See "Website analytics" below.

Why we collect it

We use your information to reply to you, review your project, prepare a quotation, carry out the work, send invoices and keep records of our work. We do not use it for anything else, unless you would reasonably expect it or the law requires it.

Who sees it

Our team sees what you send us. Form messages and attachments are carried by our website host and email provider, who handle them on our behalf.

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to other businesses to market to you. We share it only where it is needed to do the work, where the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.

Some of the services we rely on, such as website hosting, email and analytics, may store information on servers outside Australia.

Website analytics

We may use Google Analytics to see how people use this website, for example which pages are read most. It may use cookies and similar tools, and Google may process the information it collects. It does not tell us who you are. You can turn cookies off in your browser.

This website shows a Google map of our workshop. Google has its own privacy policy for the map.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the work and our records, then we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

Access and correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Call 0408 800 201 or use the quote form and say it is a privacy request. We will reply within a reasonable time, and if we cannot give you access, we will tell you why.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first, by phone or through the form, and we will look into it. If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows the latest version: 27 October 2026.
